David and Melissa first met at a church conference in SIBKL church back in 2006. 3 years later David, at 30 years old (then), felt that he was ready to settle down and thus began reevaluating Melissa as a potential. They were 'brought together' by a mutual friend, Christine who initially tagged along on movie dates as a 'lamppost' and eventually disappeared into the shadows when David and Melissa officially were in courtship.
It's funny to hear the story of how David nerdily leaned over and asked Melissa to be his girlfriend while watching 'The Book of Eli'. Thankfully, the marriage proposal was a lot better - at a nice Japanese restaurant. A moleskin notebook with 29-pages cut out to place the diamond ring - and she said yes! David being an avid photographer like myself, when asked, whispered to me saying "The ring is worth a Nikon 85mm f/1.4 lens." Oh what sacrifice! =P
I would like to wish you both
David Chong and
Melissa Wong Wt a very happy marriage ahead with lots of awesome photos to document the journey along the way. Congratulations again!
